God be with you til we meet again

Today has been a day of mixed emotions. At 8:00 this morning I received a phone call that I have been dreading for years. My Nana, my closest link to my mother, passed away. She has been ready to go for a long time (she was 94 years old), she was in a lot of pain and my sisters and I hated seeing her suffer. I have so many great memories as she is one of the people I have loved the most. She taught me so much - most of all she taught me the importance of love and service.
I am excited for her that she finished her mission on this earth and hopefully now she will get to rest for a while. I know one day I will be reunited with her - for now I have another guardian angel.
When I found out I was pregnant I knew I would have a girl and I felt strongly the reason I was being sent a girl was to replace my Nana- I just didn't realize my Nana's death and the birth of my baby girl would be so close together. It's amazing how God works.

Thanks to Lisa, Lindsey and my Mother-in-Law for throwing this delicious baby shower. It was perfect. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it. Thanks for all the presents too.
I love my friends!
Thanks girls for the diaper bag. I love it and can't wait to put it to use!

Paradise

I am just slightly jealous- my sister, Blair, just got back from a weekend trip to the Bahamas. Her pictures are amazing- I would love to be there right now. But since I can't travel for a while, I will live through her.

Sneak Peak

The crib is the only thing we have set up so far in the nursery. This is the bedding I ordered before I sold my old bedding (hence the reason I was so thrilled to sell my previous bedding) and I love the colors. I haven't figured out exactly what I am going to do with the room but I have a couple of weeks to figure that out.

Happy Mothers Day

To the Mothers in my life:

My Nana, the most amazing woman and mother that I know. She gives and gives and gives and I envy that about her. She has shown me the ultimate example of Christ-like love. She is also the strongest woman I know. I honestly believe that God only gives you trials that you are strong enough to over come and Nana has handled more than her fair share. We are lucky enough to have her still with us today because someone still needs her in their life. I am grateful to her and all the love and support she has given to me throughout my life.

My own Mother, I have felt her influence over me through out my life. I never wandered too far from the right path growing up because I knew my mother could see me where ever I was and I lived in fear of disappointing her. As I become a mother, I hope her influence will grow stronger because I need her now more than ever.

Aunt Gail, she took us in during a time we were in desperate need. I cannot imagine how much her life turned upside down as she welcomed us into her home. It didn't help that we were teenagers who were set in our ways. I will always be indebted to her. Thank you for all your love, support, and patience with us. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for you.

My Mother-in-Law, I could not ask for a better family than the one I married into. I feel so honored and lucky to be a part of the Kirby Family. I am grateful to you for welcoming me as one of your own. Thanks for bringing TJ into this world and sharing him with me. I am grateful for your love and friendship.

Emily, thank you for keeping our family together and for taking on the role of Mother of our family. Where would I be without you? Thank you for all you do for us and for all your support. You are a wonderful mother to you own children, I have so much to learn from you.

I feel so honored to have such wonderful influences in my life.

I had a baby shower at work today it was amazing. I felt so loved. Gwen is amazing - not only did she put the shower together she also made this cute cake. The picture of all the presents doesn't do it justice. All the presents filled up the back of my car. I got (or I guess Paisley got) A LOT of good stuff including a baby monitor, snap and go stroller, diapers, wipes, clothes, clothes, more clothes :)

What a difference 5 weeks makes

The first picture is from Easter. The Second Picture is from last Saturday.
I didn't realize how big my stomach is getting until I saw it in pictures.
I am now 32 weeks along and my belly keeps growing and growing...
I am a little concerned that I still have 6-10 weeks to go.
