I can't wait....

Since we live all over the country (ok half of the sisters live within two hours of each other but Blair and myself are in different states), we try to get together for a sisters week or weekend every year. Since Emily's kids are old enough to leave at home and I have a kid coming in June we decided to have our Sisters Weekend in February/March. This year they are coming to Arizona! Any suggestions on what we should do? Here's a look back at the past sisters trips:

Last year we went to Blair in Boston. It was my favorite trip yet. I cannot wait to go back for another visit. Seeing the Sox at Fenway was amazing.

All of us in Boston.

In 2006 they came here to see Billy Joel in concert. We LOVE Billy!

A few years ago we went to Disneyland. Elly and Abby joined us too!

It's over

This is when you know Valentine's Day is officially over. I saw these roses in the trash in our break room (they aren't mine). It made me kind of sad. I love flowers but hate it when they die.

Paisley

Are you sick of ultrasound pictures? I am trying not to over do it. I am excited about this one because you can actually see what the picture is of. Good to know she has 5 fingers!

YIKES

I had my 22 week check up today and I have gained 11 pounds in the past 4 weeks. I guess the 2 packages of Oreo's that I ate in 2 weeks didn't help.

I turned out ok

Growing up my sister said to me "I wonder what your house is going to look like when you are older." She had reason to be concerned considering my idea of decorating our college bedroom was blue icicle lights for Christmas and posters of 98 degrees on my walls. I have always been a little challanged in the arena of decorating. This weekend TJ and I painted and decorated our guest room in anticipation of our company coming in less than two weeks. There's still more to that I could do, but I am pretty happy with how it turned out.
I bought these pillows FOREVER ago and I love them. Since we moved into our house they have been stored away in my closet and I have been trying to figure out how I can use them.
This is the old bedding. (Sorry I didn't take before pictures.)

I should have cleaned up the desk a little before taking this picture but this is an after shot. Prior to these shelves the books were stacked up in our closet.
We added black trim around the ceiling and wall in our room. It was a lot of taping but I really like how it turned out. The flower pictures are courtesy of Tom Kirby.
Here's the bed with my favorite pillows.
This is the best picture I could get of the room. I still need to help on my picture taking skills. If you saw what it looked like before you would understand how much better it looks.

Since when is President's Day not a holiday?

I am at work today. Can you tell I am bitter? I guess President's day stopped being a holiday when I stopped going to school. Yet another reason to become a teacher! For those of you that do have the day off and are out having a good time. Have a little extra fun for me since I am stuck at my desk for the next 6.5 hours.

Great Day for Golf

I don't golf but after the weather we have been having I am thinking of picking it up. It has been beautiful. This is my view from my office window and I am so jealous of those guys out there golfing. I love this weather. I have spring fever.

Here's why I love Mitt Romney, “If this were only about me, I’d go on, but it’s never been only about me. I entered this race because I love America, and because I love America in this time of war, I feel I have to now stand aside, for our party and for our country.” It's nice to have someone in politics you can actually believe in. I am disapointed it ended this way but I look forward to the career he has ahead of him.
