Captured

Every once in a while when Paisley is getting so tummy time she surprises us by rolling over. Well this morning I put her down for tummy time and she rolled over right away. I didn't think she would do it again but I grabbed the camera just in case and she gave me just what I wanted.

The best way to start my day

My baby girl is just about to wake up (actually she woke up while I was writing this) and I cannot wait to spend the day with her. I can't imagine what my days would be like without her. I wonder if she will ever know what a dream come true she is to me? Life is so simple these days - she makes my life more simple. Her life revolves around eating, laying around, and sleeping, then repeating the same process every 3 hours. I love to watch her progress every day. I love the look in her eyes when she is focusing on something and when she sees something for the first time. It's amazing to try and see the world through a child's eyes. The highlight of my day is her beautiful smile and holding her close. I cherish these moments because I know they won't last forever. My precious Paisley- I hope you always know just how much you are loved.

P and me

For the next 2 years Paisley and I are going to spend a lot more time together since TJ starts school this week. We are so proud of him that he is going back to school for his MBA- however, we will miss having him home so much.

2 months

I cannot believe I have been a mom for two months now. I love every single day of my new life. Paisley always puts a smile on my face and I now have everything I have ever wanted. At 2 months old this is what she is up to: she makes the cutest cooing sounds, she smiles more and more every day, she has rolled over a couple of times- although I am pretty sure it was an accident, she sleeps a good 7 hours straight at night - then I feed her and she will sleep at least 4 more, and she now weighs 11 pounds 6 ounces and is over 24 inches tall (95th percentile for her height she's going to be taller than us in no time). She had to get get shots today it broke both of our hearts fortunately she only cried for a second and she was back to her happy self in no time.

AMAZING

I love the Olympics. I love Michael Phelps. I love watching the athletes win their gold medals. I love the energy and enthusiasm. I love to cheer for U.S.A. I love that watching the Olympics in 2008 takes me back to 1996- camped out on the couch every night with Blair eating a huge bowl of ice cream and watching the games in Atlanta. I love sports and I love to see the worlds best competing to bring home the gold. Go U.S.A.

Sittin' Pretty

Paisley is getting so good at holding her neck up. We decided to put her in the bumbo and see how she would do. I cannot believe how fast she is growing. I was thrilled to capture a little smile.

Blessing Day

Every Fast Sunday during my pregnancy I would tear up during the baby blessings- with the anticipation of blessing our daughter. My day (well I guess Paisley's day) finally came. Paisley was the 5th and final baby to be blessed on Sunday. TJ did an amazing job and I am pretty sure I was more nervous than he was. Paisley was perfect during the blessing and I was a very proud mom.
