Christmas Vacation

We had a great time at visiting my sisters for Christmas. We drove to Emily's house on Christmas Eve. Paisly had such a good time with her Aunties, Uncles, and Cousins. On Christmas Eve the kids (Elly (Mary), Conner (Joseph), Haden (donkey), Brennan (??), & Paisley (baby Jesus) ) depicted the nativity scene while Ross read Luke Chapter 2.

Christmas morning. All Paisley cared about was the tissue paper!
The weather cleared up so we had a little fun with the toys outside.

Blair actually drove the 4 wheeler (sorry the picture isn't that great).

Noelle is in the process of adopting 4 kids. Here we are with Jenna & Emma.

Gotta love rock band. I am thinking this is going to be a new tradition every time we get together- it's way better than pictionary!

Family Pictures

I have been waiting to post these pictures until I got my Christmas cards out. They are out so some of these pictures might look a little familiar.
TJ's sister Lisa took this pictures for us. Her latest passion is photography and that works out great for us. I am so happy with how the turned out. We just had family pictures done a few months ago that I also love- you can never have too many pictures right?

Big Girl

I am so in love with her.

First Bite

I'll be honest, I have been avoiding starting Paisley on solids. Her Doctor said we could/should wait until 6 months so we did (give or take a couple days). But it was time. Paisley stares at our food every time we eat, you could tell she was curious and anxious. So Daddy feed her some rice cereal last night. We aren't sure how much of it she actually swallowed, but the good news is she didn't put up a fight.

All she wants for Christmas

If all she wants for Christmas is her two front teeth, then we are set.
She's growing up too fast. I cannot believe how quickly she changes.

Making the most of the season

This is by far my favorite time of year. The only way I could love it more would be if the weather was a little cooler and there was snow on the ground. (It could happen right? Snow in the desert?)
So here's our festivities: Friday consisted of getting out all the Christmas decorations including buying a tree. I convinced TJ that since we are leaving before Christmas it's ok to get a live tree so early. Plus Thanksgiving was late this year.It took me 3 days to get the tree decorated it's not like me, I know.

The lights are up.

Then we went to temple lights. This is the only picture we got.
You wouldn't know it by this picture, but Paisley actually enjoyed the lights.

If you have any recommendations of things to do during the Christmas Season please let me know.

Happy Thanksgiving

There's so much to be thankful for this year. Here's a short list of a few things I am thankful for:
  • That families are eternal.
  • Sisters who are my best friends.
  • Amazing friends.
  • To live in the United States of America.
  • The Christmas season and the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of our Savior.
  • Guardian Angels.
  • A living prophet of God and modern day revelation.
  • Paisley and TJ and everyday I get to spend with them.

Makes me smile

I got Paisley up from her nap last night and put her in her car seat to run errands. I couldn't get over how funny her hair looked. (Don't worry I put the rubber band back in.)

The Better Team (At least this year)

The Utes played a great game on Saturday as they KILLED the BYU Cougars. What can I say? This is their year. Congrats on a well earned victory. I might actually have more to say about the game if I was able to watch it, but it wasn't on TV in Arizona.

p.s. the only reason I am publishing this post is because I lost a bet.

Christmas Tradition

This is my plan: for my child (and future children), on their first Christmas they will get a stocking that they fit in- then that will be their stocking forever (or as long as it lasts). Here's my first attempt:

My sisters family has the tradition of HUGE stockings and it is so much fun- it takes forever just to get through everything. I am stealing that tradition from her.

Where she gets her good looks

I was at TJ's parents house this weekend when I came across these pictures:
I thought this was Paisley's classic stare- turns out she got it from her dad.

I guess the chubby cheeks come from me. Everything else is TJ.

Final Favorite

I realize that I shouldn't admit this, but I needed to get a little bit of work done so I put on a Baby Einstein video for P. She was hooked (for about 5 minutes).

Look at that face- it reminds me of her dad when he watches sports, don't even try to get his attention it's not going to happen.

It's a given (day 4 of favorites)

She spits out every other pacifier that we put in her mouth. This one never comes out. She is so attached to her pacifier that when you take it out (or it happens to fall out) she has a ring around her mouth where the pacifier was.

Hands and Feet (day 3 of favorites)

Paisley is at that age where she loves to put EVERYTHING into her mouth. She has discovered her hands and feet - her feet haven't made it to her mouth yet- (that doesn't mean she hasn't tried).

Bottles and Jammies (day 2 of favorites)

Paisley loves her bottle! She gets pretty impatient if I take too long to feed her. The girl knows what she wants.

Is there anything cuter than a baby in jammies?
