Weekend with Emily and Elly

Aunt Emily and Elly came to visit this weekend. They took such good care of us. Emily cooked, cleaned, and took great care of Paisley while I managed to get some much needed sleep. It was so great to have them with us. Thanks for coming to visit.

True Love

Here's a couple of pictures of my baby girl. My water broke on Saturday and it couldn't have been more perfect. TJ got the best Father's Day present ever.

I cannot believe all her black hair- that must be the Kirby gene.

Here's the details:
Paisley Blair Kirby
Born 6/15/08 @11:39 am
7 pounds 10 ounces
Almost 21 inches long
I haven't slept in days (I wonder if I will ever sleep again) but Paisley is doing great. She is eating well and sleeping even better. I could not be happier!

It's official!

A big congrats to my sister Ali - I cannot believe that she is a married woman. I am so happy for her and also relieved that the stress of planning a wedding is over! She looked beautiful- I am so sorry I missed the wedding. I can't wait to see the video and more pictures when we all get together in July.

God be with you til we meet again

Today has been a day of mixed emotions. At 8:00 this morning I received a phone call that I have been dreading for years. My Nana, my closest link to my mother, passed away. She has been ready to go for a long time (she was 94 years old), she was in a lot of pain and my sisters and I hated seeing her suffer. I have so many great memories as she is one of the people I have loved the most. She taught me so much - most of all she taught me the importance of love and service.
I am excited for her that she finished her mission on this earth and hopefully now she will get to rest for a while. I know one day I will be reunited with her - for now I have another guardian angel.
When I found out I was pregnant I knew I would have a girl and I felt strongly the reason I was being sent a girl was to replace my Nana- I just didn't realize my Nana's death and the birth of my baby girl would be so close together. It's amazing how God works.

Baby Shower Bruch

Thanks to Lisa, Lindsey and my Mother-in-Law for throwing this delicious baby shower. It was perfect. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it. Thanks for all the presents too.
I love my friends!
Thanks girls for the diaper bag. I love it and can't wait to put it to use!
