Grandma's Bat Mitzvah

We traveled to Las Cruces, New Mexico over the weekend to celebrate Grandma's 80th Birthday and Bat Mitzvah. She was hard to track down so I didn't get many pictures. This is the best one I have of Grandma and Uncle Mel.The morning started at Temple Beth-el. We witnessed Grandma become a "daughter of the commandment" Grandma did a great job on her Hebrew and I learned a little bit about Jewish worship. After the ceremony we had a luncheon at the Temple. That night Grandma threw quite the party. Her theme was politics- the party was red, white, and blue and both John McCain and Barack Obama were represented via life size stand up posters. There were several bands- the night started off with a Mariachi Band and ended with a more traditional brand to encourage people out on the dance floor. All the kids were so cute out there dancing- in a couple of years Paisley will be able to join them. The food was delicious and it was fun being together with family. I didn't take very many pictures. However, Paisley was a hit. Everyone wanted to hold her I barely got a chance. She meet Aunt Kristie, GG (Grandma), Aunt Kathy, Uncle Mel, and even some relatives from Mississippi.

Zoe was so cute with Paisley in this picture she is holding her hand while eating breakfast.
I got a chance to hold her (I think everyone else was eating).

Paisley with Paca and Grandma.

Here's Lisa with her camera. Her new hobby is photography and she takes this camera with her everywhere she goes. Also in the picture is Lindsey and Brynn, Zane and Zoe.
Paisley was the perfect baby over the trip. She didn't make a sound in the car and survived 6 + hours in her car seat each way. I think she was excited to get home and be able to stretch out. The second we got her out of her seat she was chatting more then we have ever heard her talk. All around it was a fun trip and Paisley was great- if only she could stay this age forever...
Happy Birthday Grandma thanks for hosting such a fun party.
