Paisley wanted to say thank you to Grandma and Paca for her new favorite toy.

Merry Christmas

We took Paisley to see Santa on Christmas Eve. She wanted NOTHING to do with him. We decided to avoid the screaming child picture and take a family picture with Santa.

This is the best picture I got of Paisley in her Christmas dress.

Thanks to Grandma and Paca for letting us come invade their house on Christmas Eve/ Morning. We had a great Christmas!

Cousins and Doggies

The one thing Paisley might love more than hanging out with her cousins, is playing with their dogs. Uh oh... I'm in trouble.

Heaven

We had such a good time visiting Auntie Blair and Joanna in San Diego. Paisley loved the beach! Paisley wasn't sure what she thought about the sand at first- but after a while she didn't want to leave.

Cupcakes for Breakfast

I made cupcakes because it's my boss's birthday today. Paisley kept reaching and begging for a cupcake- I said no. I left the kitchen to go get her clothes- come back and this is what I find. Why do I underestimate her???? She's a Kirby alright. I always say when a Kirby is determined to do/get something, they will.

Resilient

Paisley is a little under the weather today. She managed to fight off something for the past week or so and it caught up with her these past couple of days. She could not keep anything down this morning but with in a matter of hours she was ready to play again. I've enjoyed the day of cuddling with my girl but hope she feels 100% soon.

How young is too young?

She dug this weight out of the closet today and was having fun carrying it around the room.

For Daddy

Today was a rough morning. P was not a happy camper so I put her down for an early nap- not sure if she would actually fall asleep at 9:30 am. TJ loves when she falls asleep cuddling with her teddy bears.

I have been getting complaints that I haven't updated Paisley's blog in a while.

When you ask Paisley to frown this is the face she makes. Then she starts laughing - she's done it so many times- now when she does it she knows she is funny.

This is a fun stage (except when you try to take her on a road trip).

We had a good time visiting GG in New Mexico- but we didn't remember to bring our camera.

It's been a while...

Sorry for the blogging drought. We are getting back into our routine. School has started again- but I am beginning to think that summer is never coming to an end. I have given up waiting for it to cool down, In the morning P and I will go play outside or on walks to the park. She absolutely loves being outside. She signs her version of "please" and walks to the front door or the sliding glass door. She's getting more demanding and learning to through fits but she still melts my heart every day.

Here's a video clip of Paisley and Maddux. Without fail every time he comes over, she pushes him around in her baby stroller.

Cousins

In June we took a trip to California for B's birthday. I didn't take a single picture (I didn't even get a picture of the birthday boy). I finally got my hands on these pictures, even though it's a little late I had to post them.

She's such a bully- I think Haden is scared for his life. Pai had so much fun at the water park with cousins.

Conner rode a bull. I wasn't there to experience it. But I had to post this picute because I am so proud of him.

I love this picture of Elle- she looks like such a cowgirl.

The first present Paisley was ever given is this teddy bear from her Auntie Blair. It was so pretty and soft I was afraid to let her play with it. Recently she got her hands on it and she won't let it go. This morning I tired to give her some milk and she didn't have enough hands to hold both teddy bears and her sippy cup so she opted not to take the milk.

Momma's Helper

Remember my comment about the laundry? Without fail this is what happens every time I start a load of laundry. Clothes (dirty or clean) could probably keep P busy for hours. Please excuse her hair- this is what she looks like first thing in the morning- now you know why it drives me crazy when she pulls out her hair ties.
I have a problem: we live in Arizona, it's HOT and sweet Paisley isn't a fan of the swimming pool. She does ok for about 10 minutes then all she wants to do is climb out. When we take a trip to the pool it's more me chasing her around then anything else. So I came up with plan B: slip n slide. This way we can get out of the house (even if it is the backyard) and still manage to stay a little cool. Anytime you're up for slip n slide (actually if you want to play in the water and roam around the back yard) come on over.

Such a Love

I have such a hard time getting a decent picture of my girl these days. As always we are having so much fun together.

She is going through a stage where she LOVES her mom and of course I love that (as for TJ, not so much).

She is my little helper. She loves to help with the cleaning and the laundry, which means it takes me twice as long because as soon as I fold something she picks it up and throws it on the floor.

My new best friend is my round brush, when I am feeling up for the challenge I sit Paisley in her bumbo and blow dry and round bush her hair. I just can't resist I love it when she has a cute little bob which of course only lasts for 2 seconds before she pulls her clip out of her hair and her hair is in her face again.

More

I asked Paisley to say "please" and she made the sign for more. It's so sweet. Grandma is to thank for Paisley's first word. Every time we are eating she tries to get Paisley to do it. I guess I should start teaching her some things.

4th of July

I loved dressing up Paisley for the 4th. Too bad she moves around so much I couldn't get a good picture. Last year Paisley was too young we didn't want to take her out- this was her first time seeing fireworks. She had mixed feelings, at first she couldn't take her eyes off them, then she was scared, then she could care less.

Little Fish?

This picture does not do her legs justice. They are still as chunky as ever!

P took swim lessons with her friends Maddux and Scarlett. As you can see it was very hard work!
A lot of singing songs, splashing in the water, and not doing what the instructor was telling us to do. It was fun to get outside and spend some time with friends.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Paisley turned 1 yesterday. What better reason is there to give a kids (and adults) ice cream cones and cup cakes? I had so much fun celebrating her birthday. Thanks to all the friends and family who celebrated with us. We are looking forward to using the new books, toys, and outfits. Thanks for letting me give your kids way too much sugar!!!

Tricky Girl

When Paisley goes to bed, she gets her teddy and pacifier. When she gets up, she has to leave them in her crib. Well... when I let her out of my sight for a second- I know just where to find her. She goes straight for her crib and grabs her teddy and pacifier.

Once she sees me she knows that stuff is going straight back in the crib. But, it doesn't stop her - she makes a run for it every chance she can.

I have so much fun with her.
